My Spanish Tutor

Whether you want to learn a few Spanish phrases for your next holiday, or want to improve your Spanish in general, ‘My-Spanish-Tutor’ can make a plan for you.

I offer fun, affordable & personalised Spanish lessons that effortlessly fit into my students’ busy schedules. My students range from teenagers studying for their GCSEs and A-Levels to mature students in their sixties.

Work out your level

I offer classes in groups and 1 to 1, in person and online.

The key to work out your level is your knowledge of verbs and tenses. 

If you are unsure about which level or group to choose, I can assess your level on a quick call by phone.

BEGINNERS-0   (A0)
For students who know absolutely nothing or struggle using the present tense with basic verbs.
“Yo soy mecánico”

 BEGINNERS   (A0-A1)
For students who can use the verbs SER, ESTAR, TENER in the Present tense.
“Mi novia tiene 40 años”
But don’t know or struggle with the regular verbs.
“Yo como poca fruta” – “Mis vecinos escuchan música en casa”

 BEGINNERS +   (A1)
For students who know the regular and irregular verbs in the Present tense (about things we do every day).
“Yo duermo siempre mal” “Ellos quieren ir al cine”
But struggle with GUSTAR, DOLER, LEVANTARSE…
“A mis amigos les gusta jugar al tenis, pero les duelen los brazos”
“¿A qué hora te levantas los jueves?”

IMPROVERS   (A2)
For students who know the regular, irregular, reflexive verbs in the Present tense, also “GUSTAR”…
But struggle with the Present Continuous “está lloviendo” and the near future “él va a viajar”… and struggle with “este, ese, aquel”.

IMPROVERS +   (B1)
For students who have notions of the main 3 pasts, but still struggle using them correctly and mix them.
“Hoy he comido en el restaurante”
“Ayer yo no comí pescado”
“De niño yo comía mucho chocolate”
And struggle with the prepositions (A, CON, DE, EN PARA, POR…)

PRE-INTERMEDIATE  (B1-B2)
For students who still need to think long and speak very slowly talking about the past, and are not familiar with the future tense:
“Mañana cobraré el salario”

 INTERMEDIATE   (B2-C1)
For students who know the prepositions, the Pasts and Future tenses, but are still struggling with the Imperative, talk too slowly and need practice to gain speed speaking and reading.
“Por favor, abran ustedes las ventanas”

ADVANCED   (C1)
For students talking fluently in the Present, Past and Future, but struggling with some complex forms of the Conditional, the Subjunctive and some topics from newspapers and radio:
“Yo nunca comería eso” – “Quizás llueva mañana”

I offer affordable pricing packages to suit your schedule. Students can also do a single block (6 lessons) Students can attend a whole course, or just single blocks of 6 or 12 consecutive sessions.

One session is about 70 minutes of class / Payment in cash or Bank Transfer are accepted
